As we approach the New Year it is a good time to reflect on what this year has brought to us and to set our intention for the months ahead. Regardless of where we find ourselves in this moment- in love, abundance, challenge or even emotional or physical pain- we start where we are and move forward from this place, listening intently to what we need to bring in and what we choose to let go of. This becomes our point of power; to reflect, to let go of what no longer serves us and to set our intention for what we choose to manifest in our own reality.
Acknowledging where we are in our own physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies without judgment is a form of compassion and self love. Observe, honor and give thanks. Relax into the knowing that universal life force- energy/love- is infinite and accessible to all of us. When we release the impact of our own self expectations we become liberated; we breathe more easily. What if we are okay just as we are, in this moment? What if that is actually true? If everything we embody in this moment, all of our flaws, mistakes, perfections and beauty are all okay? What a concept!
This last year has been one of deepening transformation for myself and for many I have been in contact with. The road has not always been even, but despite the challenges beauty is always present. My personal New Year’s Resolution, or intent, for the coming year is to move more slowly so that I can breathe more deeply, to better nourish my physical body and my spirit/energy body and to allow myself the space I require in my own inner process to feel clearly and deeply with an absence of hard edges. Tall order? I don’t think so. I’m ready. I am surrounded with a beautiful community of like minded people who are on the same path. Maybe we can move forward into greater health of our bodies, hearts and spirits together.
What is your New Year’s Resolution? Whatever your intent, it IS possible to manifest. You are not alone in your need for greater vitality, health, connection and love. My prayer for all of us is that we hold the seed of intention in our hearts, minds and souls and move forward into greater clarity and self-sustaining wholeness together. Thank you sincerely for a beautiful year.
All my love,

Christina,
I am not a member, but I recieve your emails and love to look through your website. I wanted to say how well written your above passage is and I enjoyed reading it. I also had alot of changes, good and not so great in 2009, and my New Year’s resolution is similar to yours. I have always wanted to learn yoga and hopefully will have some time to meet you and try your classes.
Thanks and Happy New Year,
Sherri
