We’re Moving!

by Christina on July 3, 2009

If you have not yet heard, The Practice Room is moving! By summer’s end we will be relocated into a larger, 3000 square foot space at The Shops at Meredith Place (where Curves, Fastenal, Sylvan Learning Center and the Emergency Animal Clinic are located)- 8 Maple Street, Unit 4, Meredith, NH. Thanks to Barry and Cheryl Lukatch who have generously given us our beautiful home to date at 178 DW Highway, and also thanks to Kim and Rusty Bertholet who have provided a beautiful, peaceful location for us to transition to.

Why We are Moving / The New Space
The building that The Practice Room is currently located in is for sale; with this shift we have decided to take the opportunity to move a short distance down the street, nested a bit more deeply in town. Currently we are working on remodeling the new space to include two large yoga studios, an entire “massage suite” with a full bath including a shower, a children’s playroom, an additional private treatment room and bathroom as well as a beautiful common area for all of us to relax, read, drink tea and visit. It has been great fun establishing a floor plan that we are very excited about, that has a beautiful flow and embodies all of our needs as a growing Center for Yoga and Healing.

Our Transition
While we are in the new remodeling phase all classes and programs will progress as normal, uninterrupted at our current location. It is our intention to create as seamless a transition as possible. Once the date is set to move, to be determined by the construction schedule, we will let everyone know.

Thank you!
In review of the past year of my life I am grateful. I have been blessed to forge new relationships that penetrate my heart with a constant re-newal of fairh. I draw on these beautiful connections when I reach a moment of self-doubt, insecurity or fear. When an ego-battle comes up I think of my humble friend Carol Wallace, Reiki Master Teacher and Healer, and I relax into humility; when I question my inner alliances I think of Susan Decareau, massage and body care therapist, or Bill Nungessor, friend and yogi, and I find faith in loyalty. There are many, many, many more people who expand my heart and give me an excuse to live in love. I am grateful to each of you I have met and each of you I have not yet had the pleasure to meet but who are in my prayers anyway. Each of you has created a reason for this Center to exist.

It is my deepest wish, as we continue to grow, that we embody your needs and wants for wellness and healing of the body, mind, heart and soul. Become a part of this process;  if there is something you would like to see at The Practice Room in the way of classes, services or the like let us know.

The nature of our very cells is to be euphoric with life; everything we feel that is not that becomes the gift of the journey toward what we, as our birthright, already embody. The journey is one of self-discovery, and when the epiphanies come, one of sharing with others. Have you ever noticed when you view something extraordinary or you taste something exquisite, your instinct is to find someone to share it with? How beautiful to realize the simplicity of our connection to one another; to go back to basics with a smile, a hug, a laugh, a touch, a compliment, forgiveness, humility, friendship, love.

Thank you for sharing your light, your sadness, your joy, your anger, your fear, your anxiety, your doubt, your inspiration, your grief, your skepticism, your bliss. Thank you for becoming allowing with who you are, knowing that to feel is to heal.

As we move into a new chapter of our evolution as The Practice Room Center for Yoga and Healing we look forward to grounding our presence here in the Lakes Region and continuing to deepen our roots. Our intention is always to create a space that facilitates relaxation not just on the physical, nervous system level but also in the heart- a sense of feeling at home in an atmosphere of acceptance and allowing, beauty and sacred connection. We extend this with gratitude to each and every individual who chooses to walk through the door. This Center is about You. For this I give thanks.

Live in love.

One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. (Clarissa Pinkola Estes)

This is something that Christina does on a daily basis with such grace and dignity. Full of tender mercy and a kindness you’ve never known. Thank you for standing strong and holding on to what is good in the world.
Thank you for baring your soul and living in love.
